What a Summer it has been!?

So far my summer has been going well ...i guess. I went to Donnersberg yesterday, which is the peak of a mountian here in Germany. And tomorrow I will be going to Europa Park! I'm really excited about it! I do miss my family and some things from home, but I will cherish this vacation while it lasts. HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!!! I'm so proud to be from America... and not afraid to show it! :) But unfourtantly I have been sick twice since I have been here ): I had strep throat first a week after I was here, then a week after that I managed to get the Stomach Flu...it was AWFUL! But hopefully I'am finshed with being sick and I can just enjoy the rest of my vacation! So enjoy your summers everyone!

Going..?

So I have been waiting, it seems like forever, but I received an acceptance letter from the school of my choice! Now that the acceptance part is over, it is time for me to start worrying about scholarships and grants. But what is really on my mind is getting to Germany this summer. I know I can do it, but obviously no one else thinks I can. I don't see the reasoning in not letting me go. I have to say sorry for me liking living in Germany, because supposedly it is a crime to like moving off *sarcasm *. Well let's hope I can make it through this. I don't mean to be a downer, but I don't know what I'll do if I don't get to go. But on a positive note dance competition is right around the corner and I must say my team is doing amazing! I think we are going to do awesome at competition! I'm also excited about my solo I'm doing at competition. I'm nervous, but excited at the same time! Well let's see what February brings!

Waiting...

Waiting for those college acceptance letters is very nerve racking! But I must stay optimistic. And always in my mind is Germany. Longing to go just one more time before college would be perfect. But as I have learned, never plan to far in advanced. Many obstacles will come your way, but if you stand your ground any thing is possible. So on that note I have found an amazing event that happens 3 months out of the year in Germany. It is called The Rhine aflame fireworks. I have done some research and have found that it is an amazing event, which I would love someday to attend. But in the mean time I shall keep myself occupied with the comings of dance competition and college. (:

Ready, Set, Go?

As the last few months of my high school years come to a close, I must begin to look at what is blindly in my path, college. As I look to my future I must say I' am skeptical at what the future holds. But as I hold determination in mind I see the possibilities in front of me. Seeing what "could be" is always at mind. Starting a new beginning and starting fresh is an optimistic way of looking ahead. So as I begin to head to my future I must hold optimism in mind. I must be cautious and alert and learn from the wise. Mapping out my future is all I have now. And hoping for the best is all I can do. It's out of my hands, wait, and watch.

New Future Plan?

So today the college I'am hoping to go to has a study abroad program where I can live an go to college in Germany.I knew that they had these programs but I didn't know if the colleges I wanted to go to had it.So today I found out for sure they have it,and I'm so excited!I'am going to college here in Texas.I'am going to major in Nursing and Minor in German and Spanish. So I will have a double Minor.I know it will be alot to take on,but it's not like I'm learning Spanish and German for the first time.I have been learning Spanish from my dad's side of the family and school for 5 years. And I have been learning German from the other side of my family for 4 years. So I'am so excited for this great opportunity. And hopefully I'am able to get into this program so I can live in Germany for one year. That,I think would be amazing!

How it all begins.

So as of July 1,2009 my summer plans have been set...for the rest of my life.Well as i thought. On July 1,2009 I arrived in Frankfurt,Germany with my mother for a month long vacation. We were going to stay with my brother, who lives in Germany.I was ecstatic for a couple of reasons. For one,I was going to see my family who I hadn't seen in about eight months. And another reason was because, well duh I was in a historical and beautiful country. And this was a big deal to me,because I was a 16 year old girl who hadn't gone but from my home in Texas to California. So I was pretty excited. So the first week I was there I was kind of in awe of the difference between America and Germany. Not just the language and the scenery, but the little things. For instance, the third day I was there I tried their ice cream and it was just...different.I know it sounds kind of stupid but thats what I remember the most from that month in Germany, the little things. So throughout my month long stay in Hamm Am Rhein,Germany I visited with my family, saw and tried new things I liked. And while my mother and I were there we did go out and go sight seeing. One weekend we went to Wiesbaden Air Force Base. And the next weekend we went to Burg Eltz. Now let me tell you that was an experience I will never forget. And the following weekend we went to Aschaffenburg.During our stay in Aschaffenburg we went to a classic German fest with a family friend. And we also went to Schloss Johannisburg, which was beautiful! So all in all I have to say I loved my visit to Germany, and I would love to go back. And that's exactly what I'm planning to do this summer. But instead of a month stay I'm staying for two months.Wow,basically living in Germany, that I cannot wait for!
